IMPORTANT: This warranty is valid only when accompanied by written Aftercare Instructions and customer acknowledgment of receipt.

Preamble: Our Commitment & Your Responsibilities

Community Car Care ("Company," "we," "us," "our") is committed to providing professional-grade automotive detailing services. This Limited Warranty ("Warranty") represents our commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. By accepting our services, you acknowledge that ceramic coatings require proper maintenance to perform as intended, and that adherence to our Aftercare Instructions is essential for warranty validity.


Article 1: Definitions and Scope of Coverage

This Limited Warranty applies exclusively to ceramic coating products professionally applied by Community Car Care to the vehicle identified above. Coverage is strictly limited to:

  • 1.1 Application Defects: Visible defects in workmanship including, but not limited to, widespread streaking, uncorrected high spots, or hazing that are (a) directly attributable to installer error, (b) documented and reported in writing within thirty (30) calendar days of application, and (c) verified by Company inspection.
  • 1.2 Product Failure: Catastrophic failure of the ceramic coating product itself, manifesting as complete loss of hydrophobic properties across 50% or more of any treated panel, widespread delamination, cracking, or bubbling occurring within One (1) year from the date of application, PROVIDED that:
    • All Aftercare Instructions have been demonstrably followed
    • No excluded circumstances apply
    • Failure is not due to normal wear and degradation

IMPORTANT: This warranty covers only manufacturing defects and application errors. It does NOT constitute a guarantee that the coating will maintain showroom appearance or maximum performance for the warranty period.


Article 2: Warranty Period and Transferability

2.1 Duration: Application Defects: Thirty (30) calendar days from service date. Product Failure: One (1) year from service date.

2.2 Transferability: This Warranty is NON-TRANSFERABLE and extends solely to the original purchaser named on the service invoice. Any attempt to transfer voids all warranty coverage.

2.3 Geographic Limitation: Valid only within British Columbia, Canada. Vehicle must be available for inspection within 100km of our service location.


Article 3: Comprehensive Exclusions - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

This Warranty is VOID and provides NO COVERAGE for any damage, defect, or failure arising from or related to:

3.1 Customer Actions/Inactions:
  • Improper Maintenance: Failure to follow written Aftercare Instructions, including but not limited to: improper washing techniques, use of non-approved products, inadequate washing frequency (minimum bi-weekly required)
  • Prohibited Practices: Use of automatic car washes (ANY type), pressure washing closer than 12 inches, abrasive materials, harsh chemicals (pH below 6 or above 9), petroleum-based products, or any cleaning method not explicitly approved in writing
  • Delayed Contaminant Removal: Failure to remove bird droppings, insect remains, tree sap, or industrial fallout within 48 hours of discovery
  • Unauthorized Modifications: Any coating removal attempt, re-application, polishing, or paint correction by anyone other than Community Car Care
3.2 External Factors:
  • Physical damage: scratches, chips, dents, abrasions, or impact damage of any kind
  • Environmental damage: hail, flooding, fire, vandalism, or acts of nature
  • Chemical damage: fuel spills, brake fluid, industrial chemicals, or road de-icing agents
  • Thermal shock: extreme temperature changes or sustained temperatures exceeding 60°C
3.3 Pre-existing Conditions:
  • Any paint defects, damage, or contamination present before coating application
  • Previous coating applications not fully removed
  • Repainted or non-OEM surfaces (unless specifically disclosed and noted on invoice)
3.4 Normal Characteristics:
  • Gradual reduction in hydrophobic properties (expected 20-30% reduction per year)
  • Minor water spotting from mineral deposits
  • Slight dulling of gloss over time
  • Performance variations between horizontal and vertical surfaces

Article 4: Remedy, Limitations, and Disclaimers

4.1 Exclusive Remedy: Upon validation of a warranty claim, Community Car Care's SOLE obligation is, at our exclusive discretion, to either:

  • (a) Attempt repair of the defective area(s) using appropriate methods; OR
  • (b) Re-apply ceramic coating to affected area(s) only

4.2 Monetary Limitation: Total liability under this Warranty SHALL NOT EXCEED the pro-rated cost of the original service for affected panels only. No cash refunds will be issued.

4.3 Disclaimer of Consequential Damages: COMMUNITY CAR CARE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • Loss of vehicle use, time, or inconvenience
  • Transportation or rental costs
  • Commercial losses or lost profits
  • Diminished vehicle value
  • Any indirect, special, or consequential damages whatsoever

4.4 No Other Warranties: THIS WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIM ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE BEYOND THOSE REQUIRED BY LAW.


Article 5: Claim Procedure - STRICT COMPLIANCE REQUIRED

Failure to follow this procedure exactly will result in claim denial:

  1. Initial Notice: Report defects IN WRITING within 72 hours of discovery via:

  2. Required Documentation:
    • Original invoice and warranty certificate
    • Signed Aftercare Instructions acknowledgment
    • Detailed description of issue with date first noticed

    • Maintenance log showing compliance with Aftercare Instructions
  3. Inspection: Vehicle MUST be made available for inspection within 14 days of notice. Inspection will be documented with photos and written assessment.
  4. Decision: Written determination provided within 10 business days of inspection.

WARNING: Attempting repairs or allowing third-party intervention before our inspection VOIDS all warranty coverage.


Article 6: Customer Obligations - MANDATORY COMPLIANCE

Warranty validity is CONTINGENT upon strict compliance with ALL of the following:

6.1 Aftercare Compliance:
  • Follow ALL written Aftercare Instructions without deviation
  • Use ONLY approved maintenance products (list provided separately)
  • Maintain written log of all washes and maintenance (template provided)
  • Perform first wash no sooner than 7 days post-application
  • Wash vehicle minimum every 14 days (weekly in winter months)
6.2 Prohibited Actions:
  • NO automatic car washes of any type
  • NO abrasive materials (brushes, rough towels, etc.)
  • NO parking under trees for extended periods (>24 hours)
  • NO application of any other coatings, waxes, or sealants
6.3 Documentation Requirements:

Customer MUST retain and be able to produce upon request:

  • Original invoice and warranty certificate
  • Signed Aftercare Instructions
  • Maintenance log with dates and products used
  • Receipts for approved maintenance products

Article 7: Initial Satisfaction Period

7.1 Seven-Day Review: Within seven (7) calendar days of service, customer may report aesthetic concerns related solely to application quality (NOT product performance characteristics).

7.2 Limitation: This provision covers ONLY visible application defects such as missed spots, visible contamination, or uneven coverage. It does NOT cover:

  • Buyer's remorse or change of mind
  • Unrealistic expectations about product capabilities
  • Normal coating characteristics (e.g., slight orange peel texture)

7.3 Remedy: At our sole discretion, we may attempt to correct verified application issues. This is a one-time accommodation and does not extend the warranty period.


Article 8: Legal Provisions and Dispute Resolution

8.1 Entire Agreement: This document, together with the signed invoice and Aftercare Instructions, constitutes the COMPLETE agreement between parties. Any verbal representations or promises are NOT binding.

8.2 Modification: No modifications to this Warranty are valid unless in writing and signed by an authorized Company representative.

8.3 Severability: If any provision is deemed unenforceable, remaining provisions continue in full effect.

8.4 Governing Law: This Warranty is governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada. Both parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of British Columbia courts.

8.5 Dispute Resolution: Any disputes must first be submitted to mediation before pursuing legal action. Each party bears their own legal costs regardless of outcome.

8.6 Statutory Rights: This Warranty does not exclude or limit any statutory rights under the Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act of British Columbia that cannot be lawfully excluded.

  • Understanding that warranty validity requires strict aftercare compliance

Ceramic Coating Aftercare Instructions

CRITICAL: First 7 Days

  • DO NOT wash the vehicle
  • DO NOT allow the vehicle to get wet (park indoors if possible)
  • DO NOT touch or wipe the coating
  • Coating is curing and extremely vulnerable during this period

Approved Washing Procedure (After Day 7):

  1. Two-Bucket Method Required:
    • One bucket with approved car shampoo (pH neutral, 7.0-8.0)
    • One bucket with clean rinse water
    • Grit guards in both buckets
  2. Washing Steps:
    • Rinse vehicle thoroughly with water first
    • Wash from top to bottom using straight-line motions
    • Rinse mitt in rinse bucket after each panel
    • Use separate mitt for wheels/lower areas
    • Final rinse with deionized water if available
  3. Drying:
    • Use forced air (leaf blower) OR
    • Premium microfiber drying towel (minimum 300 GSM)
    • Blot, don't drag - let the towel's weight do the work

Contamination Removal:

  • Water Spots: Use approved water spot remover within 7 days

  • Allow contaminants to remain over 48 hours
  • Use products not on the approved list
